Founded in 1973, Auburndale H.S. NJROTC is one of the longest running and best NJROTC units in the nation. The unit’s teams include drill team, color guard, orienteering team, academic team, athletic team and rifle team. In 2005, 2006, 2008, and 2011 the Rifle team competed at the Navy JROTC Rifle Nationals. The unit as a whole participates in many community service events including the Adopt-a-Highway program, Relay-for-Life, reserved seating at football games, color guard events and providing teacher help at the beginning and end of the school year. The core values of the NJROTC program of honor, courage, and commitment are exemplified at Auburndale H.S. NJROTC.
