HOSA Conference Results
We are proud to announce that Jenna Huff won 4th place in the Healthcare Photography category at the national HOSA conference last week!
Ag Department News
Destiny Blackmon competed in the county FFA Star Green Hand Contest and placed 3rd . She had to take a written general knowledge test, have her class notebook and Supervised Agricultural Experience notebook (her horse and plant projects) evaluated, and give a 3-5 minute speech about something in agriculture. She chose “Agriculture and the Disabled.” Destiny did a great job! She will be getting her award and a check from the former Agriculture Commissioner Charles Bronson in May.
Chris Anderson and Latrell Lisbon competed in the Area 4 Ornamental Horticulture Demonstration Contest in the category of Production Agriculture. They were up against 8 teams from 3 counties. Chris and Latrell beat them all and took 1st Place and will be going to the University of Florida in Gainesville on Friday April 21st to compete at the State Contest. They demonstrated how to make a self-sustaining garden.
Justin Holmes competed in the OH Demo category of consumer use. He demonstrated how to make Fresh Salsa. He did not come in the top 3 but he did a good job with his demonstration and the salsa tasted great.

Incoming or new students, as well as returning students who attend an AHS academy and are not zoned for our school, need to apply (reapply for returning students) for an academy.
